I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
